Hello chickies! I’m Kate, Steph’s wing woman. I’m a mother of two busy children, Brodie (13) and Shelby (11). My kids are in hockey, swim, Irish step dancing and Girl Scouts. We are huge animal lovers. We have a hyper pitbull named Sailor and two cats named McLovin and Felix.

Steph and I are best friends and we love the bond that our children have together! You will see that many of our Facebook and Instagram posts have them working. I am the corny comic relief in the office. You will hear me dropping one liners and “dad” jokes.

My first love was math as a child; it just came easy to me. I even majored in math in college until the business bug bit me. I was a manager for Toys R Us for 16 years. I never grew up – I am only 5 feet tall! I went back to college later in life and have a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from Westfield State University.

My experience in money management, budgeting, human resources and marketing made me the perfect addition to My Tax Chick. I am the peanut butter to her jelly; I often finish her sentences or know what she is thinking by her expression.

When I am not a tax chick or a mom taxi, I enjoy cooking creative meals, binge watching Netflix and exercising. My current workout streak is 517 days straight! I love hiking, paddleboarding, yoga, barre, weight lifting and pushing my body to new limits.

When you email, call or message, you will most likely hear from me. I am quickly learning the accounting world but wear the many hats to support Steph and make My Tax Chick grow. Keep your eyes and ears out for all of the new egg drops from the tax chicks!
